Obviously it was a big issue for me do other have this issue? What is the correct setting in this area? Why don't Norton first line support know about this issue as I sent them screen shots of my settings. Why does it cause so much trouble if any of these, other than Norton Extension, is ticked. Why do I have so many Norton references in the Mac 'Privacy' area. Obviously from my experimenting this not the case.

I had run the down load file Norton Uninstall zip prior to this and assumed the Security and Privacy would be cleaned ready for a New Complete Install. When I turned off all Norton Full Disk access except 'Norton System Extension' everything started to work!!! So I have just spent 6 hours experimenting with the Mac Security and Privacy Settings. This just caused either 'Install Incomplete' message on the main security tab or for Scans to fail, full scan caused Norton to catastrophic failure with screen text of the issue dump.Īt 10am today an escalated support person should have been contacting me but no contact. So I ticked all Norton items to give full access to disk. This compounded my problem because on install it said 'Incomplete Install' allow full disk access to Norton extensions and then the Norton Software. I had trouble running a full scan which suggested I should uninstall and reinstall. 4 attempt by online chats (2 days) with the Norton support team failed to find an answer to my issue.
